Mike Vincent Fisher was born June 25th, 1988 in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, Mike developed a love of music through piano. After moving to Destin, Florida as a teen, Mike began teaching himself guitar and bass guitar, earning spots in numerous Gulf Coast bands including Sequestered, Radio Disturbance, and Scripter. In 2014 Mike moved to Austin, Texas and joined up with the up-and-coming O Conqueror, an Austin-based rock band under the management of Quiet Company's "Tommy Blank". While performing bass and backup vocals with O Conqueror, Mike played regularly under the stage name "Flynt Reid" at Austin and San Antonio venues.
In late 2015 "O Conqueror" dissolved, and Mike took the show to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in the trendy 30A district. There he performed with surf-rock band "The Rips", and alt-rock influenced "The Good Lookings". After 9 straight months of heavy gigging, Mike relocated back to Austin, TX, this time to promote his music under his real name, Mike Vincent Fisher. With a new set of songs and fresh outlook on performance, MVF hopes to change the Austin, TX music landscape with innovative alt. rock instrumentals to the backdrop of ear-worm-worthy melodies and poetic lyrics.
In 2017, Mike began working with Chip Connell, a New York City transplant to Austin, TX. Together, the pair founded HUNTER/gatherer, an inspired experimental/indie rock outfit. After a year of working together, the project went on hiatus in early 2018, with Mike shifting his full focus to songwriting, recording and production.
